Exeter Heritage Trail City Walk

Welcome to Exeter, the historic heart of Devon and the South West! This captivating city has been a thriving settlement for over 2,300 years, with each era leaving its own remarkable mark. Walk in the footsteps of the Romans as you explore ancient gates, uncover the secrets of medieval underground passages, and marvel at the stunning Exeter Cathedral. Stroll past beautifully preserved Tudor houses, cross the historic Old Exe Bridge, and stand before the iconic Rougemont Castle and Tower. Every corner of Exeter tells a story—join this trail and uncover the layers of history that make this city truly unforgettable!

The walk covers a route, which is about 2.5 mile long (4 kms), and should take you 2-3 hours walk to complete.

I suggest parking the car in Cathedral & Quay Car Park, EX1 1DX, which is cheaper than other car park, and one of the largest.
