Historic Bolton Heritage Trail - Town Walk

Welcome to Bolton, a town steeped in history and innovation! Once one of the most important milling hubs in the north of England, Bolton played a pivotal role in the Industrial Revolution. Some of the most groundbreaking inventions in the cotton milling industry were born right here, thanks to the ingenuity of Bolton’s residents. Their contributions not only transformed the industry but also made them some of the wealthiest individuals of their time.

But Bolton isn’t just about industry; it’s also a favorite destination for film and TV enthusiasts. The stunning Le Mans Crescent has been featured in numerous movies and TV shows, serving as a backdrop for some truly iconic moments on screen.

This trail takes you beyond the mills and movie sets, showcasing the very best of what Bolton has to offer. Explore the town’s fascinating history, admire its striking architecture, and immerse yourself in its vibrant culture. Whether you’re a history buff, a film fan, or just looking for a scenic walk, this trail is designed to captivate and inspire.
